The premium line-up at Sydney’s newest commercial precinct, Brookfield Place, is nearly complete with elite global law firm Clifford Chance securing 2,611 sqm of space to join NAB, Allianz, Moelis Australia, Hub and Brookfield in the precinct.
Relocating from its current premises at 1 O’Connell Street, Clifford Chance is one of the world’s pre-eminent law firms with significant depth and range of resources across five continents. It will occupy all of level 24 and part of level 23 within Brookfield Place’s main office tower on an 8-year lease term commencing in August 2022.
Richard Gordon, Clifford Chance Managing Partner Australia, said: “We are delighted to move into such a high quality space which will provide a state-of-the-art working environment for our growing team and proximity to our clients. It has been great collaborating with Brookfield Properties and we simply cannot wait to move in.”
Carl Schibrowski, Executive Vice President & Co-Head of Brookfield Properties, said: “We are absolutely thrilled by the high calibre of tenants we have been able to attract to Brookfield Place, which we believe results from both the quality of the design and the outstanding amenity we will deliver within this precinct. We have a strong global relationship with Clifford Chance and look forward to welcoming them to the precinct.
“We have now leased over 92% of the office space and we are in discussions with a number of tenants on the 8% of space remaining, which is a terrific result for our investors,” said Mr Schibrowski.
“The continued success of our leasing programs right across the nation suggests big business continues to invest with confidence, despite the impacts of COVID-19.”
